Zombie-A-Go-Go

Released for sale August 2010

160 pages, b&w, MSRP $25 USD

MRG-01001

Zombie A-Go-Go is unique in the miniature games market, as it is based on the concept of co-operative play that is more common to boardgames. That means that each player brings their own Hero, and a handful of Zombies that offset their value in skills and equipment. Our game is designed to fill in the gap between all of the wonderful Zombie Boardgames, and more traditional Miniature Skirmish or Tactical games, that already exist.

Our game is setup to give the feel of “Traditional Zombies” in modern times. It can also be easily modified if you prefer “Voodoo” or “Chemically Altered” Zombies, or to play in another “Era” like antiquity or the near future. These rules include a vast collection of information that makes this an "all in one game" that should accommodate most “Eras”. These rules are designed for individually mounted 25 to 28mm figures. They can be readily adapted to 20mm or 15mm if that better suits your club.

This game was designed for Wargamers, by Wargamers, so it “fluff light” and packed with what you actually need to play on the tabletop. Future supplements will be offered to expand the game, but are not required to enjoy this genre. In addition to increase the value of the book for you we have also provided:

  1. Complete Character Generation with over 50 Pre-generated characters
  2. Over 15 Ranged Weapons and more than 30 Close Combat Weapons
  3. Basic Vehicle Rules with over 30 Pre-generated vehicles for land, air, and sea
  4. a Scenario Generator to help quickly make pickup games
  5. 8x Basic scenarios, 2x advanced scenarios, and a 4x mission mini-campaign. Several of these also include additional “options” to readily modify the scenario conditions, or to use them for competitive play with or without a moderator.
  6. Optional Rules (Fog, Night, etc.)
  7. Basic rules for Buildings and Barricades

And don't forget…

Zombies you can outrun – the mistakes of your fellow Heroes you cannot.

Bonnets & Bayonets: American Civil War

TBA: Coming in 2014

TBD: 80+ pages, b&w, MSRP $20 USD

MRG-02001

This game is designed to be a set of introductory Tabletop wargaming rules for both the Historical Wargamer and the Living Historian – but also playable in a casual environment. These rules are not to be an exact replica of history, but provide a reasonable simulation. This will be our first "competitive" rule set that we release as players will take the role of either Union or Confederate Officers against each other.

Battles in the American Civil War were usually not fought to the “last man”. Nor did units smaller than a Regiment normally engage in them. In fact when we generally read about battles they were fought by Corps and Armies. So it is our intention to give you the feel of the Regiment as the base of maneuver.

Our rules include:

  1. A series of 6 generic scenarios for pick-up games
  2. A set of 10 historical scenarios including force listings,
  3. A small introductory campaign showcasing the lesser known Confederate invasion of New Mexico and Arizona from 1861-1862
  4. Complete rules for pointing out your own forces
  5. Base units are either Regiments, or specialist Companies
  6. Rules for issuing Regimental Orders
  7. Actual in game effects for your current formation type

We will focus on the 15mm scale, and provide simple modifications for those who prefer 6mm, 10mm, 20mm, and 28mm figures. Basing recommendations are provided, but you can use whatever standard you already have.

Arrgh! Pirates

TBA: Coming in 2015

TBD: 140+ pages, color, MSRP $40 USD

MRG-03001

There are plenty of other rule sets that stress “Historical” or “Fantasy” aspects of this genre. We enjoy playing a number of them too. However, this rule set was designed to be a fun and quick way to play “Pirate” games with your club. These rules ARE NOT an exact replica of history, but rather to provide a reasonable simulation and a channel into both the historical and fantasy into your games.

Each figure has a certain number of “dice” to throw each round. The dice are used for everything, movement, attack, defense, etc. Once the character is out dice for the turn, the character can do nothing else, unless they have a trait that allows otherwise. For example, if a character puts all their dice into an attack, the character has nothing left to defend himself with. This simulates the character going all out in an attack, ignoring everything else.

The more dice the character has to throw, the higher level the character is, and the more points that character takes up in your Crew.

Our rules include:

  1. Pre-Generated Characters and Crews for your immediate use
  2. Examples of both Historical and Fantasy Characters
  3. A complete Character Generation system for both Historical and Fantasy settings
  4. All of the Melee and Ranged weapons your Characters will need
  5. 6x generic scenarios, and 6x specific scenarios
  6. Rules for using most types of boats, and ships, available in miniature as part of your games

This game is designed for 28mm figures, on land and on ship, in either a Historical or Fantasy setting.

Bugonia: A supplement for ZAGG

TBA: Coming in 2015

TBD: 160+ pages, b&w, MSRP $30 USD

MRG-01002

This is our first supplement for "Zombie A-Go-Go" that we plan to release, and it will be "stand alone". It will feature mechanics to play Colonists and Soldiers during an infestation of Alien "bugs" to match your favorite Movie, TV Show, or Novel. After all, the only way to improve a horror movie is to repackage it in outer space.

As with our Zombie game, no one is stuck playing the bad guys here. General hordes of Alien “bugs” are “automated” in their use on the table. So in addition to your own player character, each person needs to provide a handful of “bug” miniatures as well.

  1. Complete Character Generation with over 30 Pre-generated characters
  2. Rules for small "units" of grunts to be in your character's squad
  3. Complete Xenomorph Generation, with over 20 Pre-generated monsters
  4. All of the Ranged and Close Combat Weapons from ZAGG, plus a number of Energy and High Tech Weapons to blast the enemy, and your way out of sealed bunkers.
  5. Basic Vehicle Rules with over 30 Pre-generated vehicles for any surface, including Dropships and Aerospace Fighters
  6. a Scenario Generator to help quickly make pickup games on any type of planet surface, or even aboard a starship
  7. 8x Basic scenarios, 2x advanced scenarios, and a 4x mission mini-campaign. Several of these also include additional “options” to readily modify the scenario conditions, or to use them for competitive play with or without a moderator.

For the Homeworld! Starship Combat

TBA: Coming in 2016.

TBD: 120+ pages, b&w, MSRP $30 USD

MRG-04001

This game is designed around the simple concepts of “Full Thrust” and “Babylon 5: A Call to Arms” that got people back into playing Starship Combat games. We also need enough depth to make the games play out like your favorite Science Fiction TV Shows and Movies. Starship combat games do not always have to require a degree to play, and we feel that this is a comfortable Introductory game - and a step over beer and pretzels.

To achieve this, our rules include:

  1. Starfighters, Marines, and the like of to enhance smaller games
  2. We will also include plenty of Pre-Generated Starships from Corvettes on up to Dreadnoughts and even Space Stations
  3. Complete rules for creating your own Starships and Space Stations
  4. 4x small scale introductory scenarios with pre-made forces, 6x generic scenarios for pick-up games of any size, and 2x advanced fleet scale scenarios
  5. Rules for planets and other space terrain

Scale is of course up to whatever sorts of miniatures you have. We recommend 1" bases for your Starfighters, and miniatures 1" to 5" long to represent your Starships.

Antiquity: A supplement for ZAGG

TBA: Coming in late 2016

MRG-01003

Antiquity will be designed to capture the feel of adventure parties either for your favorite Fantasy genre, or to be readily adapted to Historical situations as well. It is based on the concepts of co-operative play presented in "Zombie-A-Go-Go" and "Bugs".

As with our Zombie game, no one is stuck playing the bad guys here. General hordes of Fantasy “monsters” or Historical "barbarians" are “automated” in their use on the table. So in addition to your own player character, each person needs to provide a handful of “bad guy” miniatures as well.

  1. Complete Character Generation with over 30 Pre-generated characters
  2. Complete Moster and Barbarian Generation, with over 20 Pre-generated "baddies"
  3. All of the approriate Close Combat Weapons form ZAGG, plus a number of other useful pieces of armor and other low-tech equipment

  5. a Scenario Generator to help quickly make pickup games on any enviroment
  6. 8x Basic scenarios, 2x advanced scenarios, and a 4x mission mini-campaign. Several of these also include additional “options” to readily modify the scenario conditions, or to use them for competitive play with or without a moderator. None of these appear in "Zombies Thru the Ages".
  7. Optional Rules (Magic, Grunts, etc.)
  8. Basic rules for Buildings and Barricades

Weather you are a little person trying to make a big differance in your world, an adventurer decending into a dungeon, a knight searching for the Grail, a Spartan holding the pass, or a Roman guarding northern Britian... this is your game.
